If you live in or near San Francisco, you should stop over at The First Amendment Gallery for their amazing Rusted Souls concept art show. It ranges from wicked comic book style character art to fantasy landscape pieces that tell the story of the world in which those characters live. Admittedly we didn’t spend much time in the gallery today, but the whole time we just wanted to come back for more.
The piece above was what drew us into the gallery space. It includes a bit of circuit bending audio gear in the box. Very fun. We think the post-apocalyptic world that they’ve created in this group show makes for some excellent visual accompaniment to epic sounds… and they thought the very same thing, which is why you can use a smartphone to scan a QR code to be directed to a musician’s compositions specifically made to compliment the hung pieces. We also think Broken Cities sounds pretty good when viewing these works ;-)
Check them out on a Thursday to get inspiration before heading around the corner to “So you think you can paint?” over at Club Six.
Tomorrow is the last day to vote, and tonight is the last night to share… so we thought we’d give everyone a cute little Thank You for all the great support our fans have given in voting for us. We really appreciate you sharing the voting link on Facebook, Twitter, with friends and family and of course on Tumblr.
Thank you.
